The best way to make brown eyes pop

Begin with an eyeshadow primer, which not only extends the life of eyeshadow but also tends to give a more saturated color result than using powder shadow alone. Gently pat eyeshadow primer from the lashline to just above the crease. (Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion in Sin is a great option in a complementing shimmery champagne formula.)

Apply pale shimmering purple eyeshadow from the lashline to the crease. MAC's eye shadow in Beautiful Iris is a great option for all skin tones. An eyeshadow brush with short, thick bristles will effectively allow you to get a wellsaturated color payoff. Gently buff the edges of the color with a clean soft brush to blur any harsh lines. If desired, also apply a hint of the color just below the lower lashline.

Framing the eyes with jetblack eyeliner will add a dramatic touch to the look and also further deepen the appearance of dark eyes. Line the rims of the eyes (above the lower lashline and below the upper lashline) with a true black liner with staying power (one to try: Lancome Le Crayon Khol in Black Ebony.)

Finish off the look by drenching lashes in dark black volumizing mascara. Lancome's Hypnose Drama mascara in Excessive Black is one of the best mascaras for delivering a boldly dramatic look. The stark black lashes will contrast beautifully with the pale shimmering purple eyeshadow, accenting brown eyes and making them appear deep, dark and chocolatey.
