Tutorial And Tips To Make Green Eyes Pop

What colors of makeup for green eyes works best? Well since mine are this color, and since I also love to experiment with makeup I thought I'd share a few of my own thoughts as well as a quick tutorial of what I like to use myself to help make my green eyes pop.

Here is a list of colors that compliment:

creamy nudes, light browns, champagne, and soft peachy or apricot colors plums and violets (very soft pinks too) super darks, browns, and blacks AVOID: silver and white

I think all of these have their pros when it comes to choosing makeup for green eyes, but in my experience I think it definitely depends on a few factors including your skin tone, your personal preference, and of course what you are most comfortable with. So FYI, I typically I like to stick with more neutral colors on a daytoday basis.

I'd like to give you a kind of makeup for green eyes tutorial that I do on myself it'd look like this:

Start with an eyeshadow primer (something like Urban Decay Potion, or Too Faced Shadow Insurance) Begin by applying a matte nude shade all over the lid and just above the lid crease Choose a darker brown eyeshadow to apply to the corner crease creating a slight "v" and continue along the crease only until about half way towards the inner corner Now go with either a light brown, a peach, or a purple shade for your lid and pack it on Blend! blend! blend! this is so important when putting on makeup Add a shimmery highlight to the corner crease (this helps to make green eyes pop) Choose a browbone highlight and apply right up to the brows I like to use either a brown or a black eyeliner on the top lashline My trick now is to add a bright green shadow or pencil liner to my bottom waterline With an angled eyeshadow brush add a bronze color to the bottom lashline pulling up and wing out a bit Finish with a few good coats of mascara on the top and just a smaller coat on the bottom
