Tips on make up

Tips on makeup for a "baby face"?

I about to start my junior year of High School and I don typically wear makeup. On rare occasions I may were eyeliner on the inside of my upper eyelid and mascara, or BB Cream if I happen to have a rare break out. Although I sixteen, people often mistake me for being fourteen or twelve. I am petite for my age, only 4 and ninety six pounds, so it doesn help my case. I also starting to wear my hair down more in hopes that it help as well. I know, I appreciate my baby face in the oncoming years but for now, I just want to feel beautiful. I don think that I ugly, I would just like to bring out my features and smile without comparing myself to the girl sitting beside me in class. I going to go school shopping soon and would really appreciate any tips that anyone has to give. Thank you.(:

3 weeks agoI love the way my makeup looks, but the real trick is practice. Buy a lash curler! Put on plenty of mascara and then curl them! Big eye lashes make a big difference. I buy liquid liner and put on a very thin line above the top lid. That part takes the most practice. You should probably start out with light eye shadow colors, whatever you think will look good with your irises and hair color. I use like a light lavender on my lid then apply some dark purple on the outer corner of my eye. Then I uses some pencil liner on the outer corner of the inside of my bottom lid. Then some foundation. And trust me you cannot feel uncomfortable with it (too much) and expect to go out and feel confident. You have to get comfortable with a little, then a little more, then a little more until you love the look, like me:)16 year old country gal

I 16 and starting my junior year as well! In fact, I got a baby/round face so if I not wearing makeup, I could pass as a 13 year old. However I been wearing makeup for awhile now and I learned how to look older :) Eyeliner is a big thing. Don wear too much. Otherwise, you will look like a tryhard which may make you look younger. Using liquid liner on the top lid is an easy way to use eyeliner and it won smudge. With eyeshadows, I like to mix neutral colors with kind of a "smokey" eye effect but not as intense. I don use this for an everyday look though. Mascara will help open up your eyes and you definitely look more mature. I like using L mascaras but also Revlon Lash Potion but a good starter one would be the volumizing one by Covergirl. With blush, stay away from putting blush on the apples of your cheeks because while it may give you a rosy glow, it will also look quite young as young children usually have this flush on their cheeks. Try using bronzer and contouring instead! It should go beneath your cheekbones in the hollows of your face. It will give your face a less round shape. Filling in your brows will also make you look older. Lastly, rather than using lip gloss, use a matte lipstick. If you don want any lipstick, then I say just a hydrating lip balm.

My VERY last thing is, remember that you beautiful and makeup is meant to enhance the natural beauty already there :) don feel like you need to compare yourself to those girls with full faces of makeup or who look more mature! Embrace what you have :)

Good news for you! There are so many ways to avoid the "baby face" look.

1. Unless you have high cheekbones, your cheeks are one of the main contributors to the "baby face". If you apply a light blush to your cheekbones properly, it will bring the direction up rather than giving the impression of round "baby cheeks".

2. Try a little natural colored eye shadow. This will make your eyes pop when you put the eyeliner on over it. If you like, put some mascara on your bottom lashes, this will open up your eyes more.
